Weekend op-portunities
Golly, another week is already finished. Spring is here – this year really does seem to be flying!
I was browsing Cecylia the other day (she’s a fabulous Melbourne fashion blogger), and admiring a picture of her from when she came third in the 2011 Chadstone Fashion Stakes. She is pictured left below, in the flashy lemon-yellow dress. I absolutely loved the colour. (The image is from here.)
So you can understand when I got a bit excited the next day, because I found a dress in the exact same colour in an op-shop! And not only that, but it’s a Roberto Cavalli dress, too. (It’s come out a different colour in the lighting though, unfortunately. It’s actually almost the same colour as Cecylia’s dress.)
I also found one of the most beautiful pairs of shoes I’ve ever seen! They are by Zu, pure leather and made in Brazil. No idea how I’m going to walk in them, because they transform me into a six-foot tall leggy person. But I just couldn’t leave them behind…
I hope everyone else had some op-shop luck this weekend too! I did so enjoy ingesting some more colour into my own wardrobe.

WOW! That dress is gorgeous! I reckon you could wear those shoes with any outfit – under jeans, with your new dress, doing the housework….they are too fabulous not to! It’s funny, I was doing the washing yesterday and noted how many black/white/grey clothes hubby and I are wearing at the moment, so I’m really looking forward to some springtime colour. I can’t believe I had become so dull! K xx

Thanks guys! I’m not to sure about wearing the shoes to do house work though – think I’d fall over LOL. I’m hoping to wear the dress to the races soon… But we shall see!
